There many people that are full time RVing in other words they live in their RV all the time .Some in very high dollar Motor Homes  and some in their popup trailer what every the case maybe, some because that  choose that life style some might not have the choice to do so. In either case one thing that is very important is clean and healthy living a good number of RV’s old and new have some form of  non healthy material in them, it could  be in the wall board’s, flooring, carpet, cabinet material insulation when you are living in such a confine area you need it to be as toxic free as possible .                     

    There are a lot of  products on the market today that can be apply over different types of material to reduce the toxic outgases that come off some of the things I listed above. I can not write about a lot of them because I have not try them yet one of them I have use is the SafeCoat  HardSeal and the Safecoat Acrylacq which  is a clear, hard and durable high gloss, water-based replacement for high solvent content lacquer.      Safecoat caulking is a non-toxic, water base elastic type caulking and putty for windows, cracks and general maintenance work. Some information I have found says it will not dry out or crack and does not release any solvents or obnoxious odors. Safecoat caulk  provides a water resistant, flexible, easy to install. I have use this product and like it, the texture of it is different than some other caulk I have use but seems to work fine.

      According to the product description it does not off-gas and is safe to use in poorly ventilated area. It is safely used by and for the chemically sensitive, the caulk is 100% solids so there is no “shrinkage it is non flammable and non sag”. I use a lot of caulks in different applications this will be a number # 1 user for me, seeing I use it in confined area such as RVs.

  Floors are another area that you need to inspect very well in most case's where you have floor decade (rot) you have frame damage and like I stated in early topic of frame damage it could turn into a nightmare but if you will take your time to go over thing's you can spot sign's. The open area living room, hallway, bathroom, any where you can see are walk on you can tell if the floor is soft or not, places like under the cabinet's, bathroom sink, closet, and any other place you can't normally you can get down under these and take abject like a ice pick or slender screw driver and push down in the area to see if they are soft are not .If you can push object threw floor you have a problem so be sure to check out floor very careful.
